Weekend News - Vintage Fair

What a weekend don't you think it has been very busy and here in the UK of course we have the London Olympics and well with Great Britain 3rd on the Medal Table its an even better one ..smiles

So other than the Olympics, what else has been happening in the world of SL that has been keeping us rather busy.

The Vintage Fair - what is this you might ask and what kind of things are included and how long is it on for - well it started on   August 4th  -  August 29th and being run by The Chic Management Team who run a lot of  these great events/fairs and a lot of designers come together and being us Exclusive items along with general items that can be great for a Vintage night.  It is stressed that this is not a charity event as many fairs/events recently have been and the money goes to the designers who i might add do a tremendous amount of work especially for getting items out in time for every event possible, and well with over 260 brands at this great shopping experience then i can assure you there is something for everyone here...smiles.

Its best to check out the blog spot but as we all know in regards to the Pink Ribbon this is a Cancer Foundation and well i checked it out on its 1st day and it is set in a beautiful setting, just be careful as you walk can be a bit laggy.

Been a busy bee

Mmm in the past week its been hectic, did the Hair Fair in one day stayed on the first day for a full 8 hours i think, till eventually i was tp'd out by Master who so wanted desparately to see me as he missed me so much, but i had already seen it about 90%, then went back a 2nd time and again a 3rd time under my main she just went to a few places quickly


Yesterday went to Sensuelles Lingerie Fashion Show, and what was on offer is very sexy and it was also filmed so looking forward to seeing the results properly, had to take pity on the lovely models as some where  dealing with heavy lag (it was a saturday so very expected hehe) and given the fact i only seen one model in no grey whatsoever, im thinking Second Life was trying to tell me to buy the lingerie she had on..admittedly it was very sexy hehe, but once the pics im sure will come out will be good to see, it was a very busy night and then afterwards with it having been so successful there was an after party, spoke to an old friend who is currently looking for more adult companies/businesses in SL for a soon to be Grid hunt and she is also designing Earrings also, all to co-inside with the Hunt (Your Inner Slut Hunt)

But yes going back to the Hair Fair, i more or less bought from every store in a way, glad i created a folder just for the new hair or i would have had a nightmare so with stores such as Lollipopz,Exile,Sugarsmack and so many more wonderful ones, ill be sure to tell you more :)

Been also asked by folk to do profile shots so did a couple photo shoots, and for the life of me why is it easier to photograph yourself without worrying hehe and then you have someone in front of you , then you think your mind blanked.

Managed to finally get back to One Voice event and finally get the new skin from Laq, also bought another outfit and also some poses, so even though i took my time i had a good look around and again i think its a fantastic cause, It amuses sometimes that many folk still need to create a drama and whine and say they never heard of Curio, but we all have our own type of skins that we like to wear and again there are many wonderful skin companies within SL and you just need to go to the SYS monthly collections to see that...smiles

Had a Film Director not actually on my actual land but i let him borrow the sky in a way hehe so he could do a film, i peeked into the film set when everyone had gone and i loved the inside, and give when i was checking my radar from time to time, the list of characters who were apart of the film was like an *oooh* moment - note if your into erm adult films hehe then its that type of film :).

Let another friend also borrow a part of the sky also so she can do a photoshoot also and i think she was quite happy.

Been reading Fifty shades of Grey and the whole trilogy currently on the final book, but i was trying to create a photo shoot in a way with that also hehe...My love and Master is for sure my 50 shades of grey :), and the good news on top of that is we are expecting a baby :)

Curio's Gala Phoenix is currently in the midst of legal issues which have resulted in her content being removed from the grid, pending the outcome of her legal battle. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) process in Second Life requires that when there is legal action taken against your content, Linden Lab will remove it from the grid until a ruling is made. Gala's fellow content creators have come together to host a fundraiser to help with the substantial legal costs she will incur in contesting these baseless claims.


The fundraiser will be held from July 9-15.


This fundraiser is not only to help Gala Phoenix, but to also take a stand for the community of content creators, for many of whom SL is their main source of income. This could happen to any one of us, and it's necessary that we stand up and fight back to ensure that it doesn't.

SYS's June Collection

Hope we are all having a happy friday so far, here in the UK, we are all preparing for a super long bank holiday till Wednesday as on Tuesday we celebrate our Queen's Jublilee...60 yrs on the throne and still going strong :-) Long may she reign over us...Im proud to be British.

Boxed In a Bit

So while i was wandering around Glitterati, this beautiful item caught my eye also so i bought it and i have to say you get 2 within the pack that you buy, the one i am using to let you see what is included is the Lit Cube

So I would be right that im thankful i dont suffer from claustrophobia hehe as it was it seems created for a not so tall person like me :-) Below is how both versions look.

This version is called GLITTERATI - Cubed [lit] - rez this out.

Then, you need to open your PREFERENCES and go to the GRAPHICS options.

Turn on LOCAL LIGHTS by putting a check in the box, and then make sure SHADOWS are set to SUN, MOON AND PROJECTORS. The projectors is the important part!

Then, use a nice dark windlight (otherwise you might be a bit too bright) and play with the different ones to find your perfect lighting.

Shadows can sometimes be a little tricky, so if you are having problems with them, try visiting these links...

Glitterati is of course one of the best and one of the originals, and i will be going through eventually many of the props and pose companies of course.
